Asher Roth - La Di Da

They say it's a cold world, ya you got that right
I almost packed it all in on the spot last night
They want a kliller instinct and I'm just that type
But if the fight's not mine, I wont fight that fight
Life without strugglin', ya right
Make one mistake, wont make that twice
Out of sight, out of mind
Find yourself out of time
Buy your own pants, get your hands out of mine
An advance ain't a promise you 'gon make it
There is work to be done, you must grind to shine
Every second is a blessing, yes it is precious
Suggest you get off instant message
The agression when your finding a direction
Then heading not stop just to find that the road is blocked
You wanna pop, flip your lid and stomp
But settle down and work it out is really all you got
So I tell 'em..

When I can't take it, I can't take it no more,
This is what I say: La Da Da Di Da, La Da Da Di Da, Over
When you can't take it, when you can't take it no more,
The is what you say: La Da Da Di Da, La Da Da Di Da, Over

And ya im frustrated, fuck this, what's this?
How much, who, what, where, when, why man, how come?
So many questions unanswered
I dont understand, can you please explain sir?!
I'm in a faze, I believe I can change
In exchange for an explaination, estimation, hesitation
Isn't this visible, dealing with digital
Figiting through email, when the issue is pivital
Critical condition, me head's in, I'm headin'
In the wrong direction, book me a session
Let it off my chest, I'll invest in a cannon
Just so I can blow, with my flow, is my right hand man, Van Dam
Ass kickin' when Ash spittin, I'm mad different, Jus ask Jigga
He listened and witnessed the birth of a star
Emergin' and surgin his way up to the top of the charts
Now sing along..

When I can't take it, I can't take it no more,
This is what I say: La Da Da Di Da, La Da Da Di Da, Over
When you can't take it, when you can't take it no more,
The is what you say: La Da Da Di Da, La Da Da Di Da, Over

When I'm tryin' to come up, they wanna bring me down  (x4)
When you tryin' to come up, they wanna bring you down  (x4)

All the kids sing along..

When I can't take it, I can't take it no more,
This is what I say: La Da Da Di Da, La Da Da Di Da, Over
When you can't take it, when you can't take it no more,
The is what you say: La Da Da Di Da, La Da Da Di Da, Over

Benny Benassi

Benny Benassi ft. Kelis & Apl.De.Ap - Spaceship

Haven't heard any Benny Banassi lately, but through all the YouTube glory, I found this video. It is definatly new, not sure exactly when it was released, but I am loving this tune. Benassi has some seriously amazing beats! They include Illusion, Show Me Love, Rocket in the Sky, Every Single Day, Satisfaction, and California Dreaming. These are just a few. Rumenian by the Benassi Brothers has the best beat drop I have ever heard, in ANY house beat! It is definately worth checking out! You can find it on YouTube or LimeWire.

Make Up Art = Love ♥

Make- up is an amazing form of expression. It is a true art. To follow the lines of a face can be difficult, but intriguing. To me, make up is fun. I enjoy experimenting with different looks. Glitter shadow with a thick liner is my favorite. I also like white/ bright shadows with a black liner. I absolutely love the flared eye- liner look. Following the lines of your face is important to create flow. The liner can be thick or thin. Experimenting is the most important part. Don't be afraid to get crazy. I usually go for a thick lid liner with thick flares. I use bright shadows to make my eyes pop more, but the smokey- eye look could also be combined with the flares.

The gold flares are amazing! The feather lashes are beautiful. I love this look! There's more to come! ♦ ♦

Family Fun

I had the most fabulous weekend in a very long time. On Friday, my brother, Aarron, and his girlfriend, Stacey, were dropped off at my house at noon. My little sister, Meadow, had been there since the night before. After an hour of me getting ready, we all headed over to Belleville. We stopped at the mall briefly before taking Stacey to the train station. After we saw her off, we hung out at the park for an hour. We had a great time chatting and hanging out. We are really getting along amazingly, and I love both of them very much. However, I had to drop Aarron off at the mall for 6pm, and Meadow and I headed back to the county to go to my Aunt's going away dinner for my cousin and I. We are both headed to school in September. It was a great meal, as usual. My Uncle is a BBQ artist! He makes the most incredible BBQ chicken, and that is my favourite. We had potatoes and veggies as well. It was a great meal. Before we ate, I got a chance to talk to my other Aunt and Uncle about the MT program, about what I am going to do when I get there, and when I will be back next. It was great talking with them. I got to see a side of my Aunt that I thought I would never see. It was great to get to know them a bit better. After dinner we hung around the table a bit longer and chatted about random things. It was a great evening overall and I look forward to seeing all of them again! ♥

Saturday was a great day as well. Meadow and I went to my Grandmother's house and visited with all of my Uncles, Aunts, and cousins. I had to leave at 1pm, however, to be at work for 2. I worked until 10, but then afterword I headed back to my Grandma's, and continued the party from there. It was my Grandfather's birthday party that night. We had a great time! There was some drama, to no fault of my family's, but overall I had a blast! There was plenty of alcohol, and plenty of fun that night. Aarron and my Mother were feeling pretty rough the next morning, but Meadow and I were fine. Mom to Meadow home after an hour or so, and my Uncle, cousins, and I all went to the trailor for a bit. Sunday was a great day because I spent lots of time with my family. Most importantly, my brother and I had an incredible conversation and we got along amazingly. I love all of you very much, and I will miss you when I move. But I will see all of you soon! Christmas time baby! ♥

 ♥ One Love ♥

Can anybody help me, I'm out of plans
Guess I left my world in somebody's hands
I dont like to hurt much, but everyone gets weak
Someone to rely on, is what I really need

Now here we stand, with all that we're worth
I've been through the pain and been dragged through the dirt
Whatever they tell you, we're bigger than words
I've been where your standing, I know how it hurts

Let this be your song now, and this be your day
If we stand together, then we'll be okay
'Cause we're survivors, we'll make it our world
Expecting the best when they hope fo rthe worse

One love, this is the way we found
One love, even though they'll let you down
One love, nobody's perfect now
One lone, don't let that hold you down
One love, let's stick together now
One love, we got to stand our ground
One love, it's easy to believe
One love, believe in you and me.
One love...

Now should try and fix this all by myself
But I know it'll turn out better if you help
No one likes to hurt much, but everyone get's weak
Someone to rely on, its what everybody needs

One love... is one love... O.N.E  L.O.V.E... is one love.
One love to be and one love, that's all we need
One love...  ♥

Charmed

I cannot believe I waited so long to finally watch the 8th and final season of Charmed! As I tearily watched the very end of my favourite thing as a child, I couldn't believe what it had come down to. Once again, they almost died, but in the end, everything worked out perfectly. The Elders sent Coop down to Pheobe to make up for all the wrong they had done to her. Pheobe and Coop married eachother and then had their three little girls. She wrote a book on how to find love, and she dedicated the rest of her life to that. Piper and Leo grew old together, having another little girl, and Whyatt and Chris took power. They also had granchildren later on. Paige and Henry had three children and Paige continued to help future white lighters and witches come into their powers. The sisterhood, the magic, the raw emotion, and great times had, they all make me weep inside. I'm going to miss the next great adventure with the sisters I love so much. ♥

Alyssa Milano is an incredible actress. The emotional level that she can reach, that they all can reach, is incredible. I truly believe they lived a little through their characters on Charmed. Holly Marie Combs, you amazed me with how strong of a character you played, and yet, when Prue died, you were so weak. And Rose McGowan, you came in just under half way through, and I'll admit, I was hesitant at first to let you on board, but you quickly changed my mind. I enjoyed watching you become Paige. It was such an incredible journey! Thank you for years of memories!

And to all my fellow Charmed lovers out there...

              .....Blessed Be.....

David Guetta

David Guetta & Chris Willis ft. Fergie & LMFAO - No Getting Over

What can I say about David Guetta... he is successfully crossing pop artists with house, dance beats and making some incredible music! Guetta is a musical genious! His beats are incredibly intrinsic and moving. He has me dancing all night long. His album, 'One Love', is in stores now and is definately worth picking up! Another few amazing Guetta beats are Louder Than Words w. Afrojack, Commander ft. Kelly Rowland, When Love Takes Over ft. Kelly Rowland, and Memories ft. Kid Cudi... You can also check all of this out on YouTube! Happy Dancing!

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff is my favourite young actress in Hollywood. She is everything that young starlets claim to be, only to discover all their secrets in the media. Hilary grew up in Hollywood, but still turned into a beautiful young woman, not addicted to drugs or paparazzi! Hilary started in the bizz as a child in advertisements and small roles. Her first movie was Casper, however, her fame was gained through her role as Lizzie on Disney's The Lizzie McGuire Show. Her movie role portfolio includes The Lizzie McGuire Movie, A Cinderella Story, Raise Your Voice, Cheaper By the Dozen, The Perfect Man, and War, Inc. She has four studio albums and continues in the fashion world with her line "Stuff by Hilary Duff". She is now married to her long- time hockey- player beau, Mike Comrie. I will always love Hilary Duff and her movies and music. She is one artist that will never crack under the pressure.

"Fly. Open up the part of you that wants to hide away. You can shine. Forget about the reason why you can't in life, and start to try. Cuz its your time. Time to fly." - Fly

Lindsay Lohan

Oh my, Lilo, what happened to the incredibly talented young girl that we all knew and loved? Unfortunately, I think she is gone, possibly forever. I just watched an interview with Matt Lauer and Dina Lohan on the today show. Dina seems to have a lot to say about the Judge being harsh and wrong in her decision to sentence Lindsay, but not much to say about how this may straighten her daughter's life out. It seems like she just refuses to see that the consequences Lindsay is now facing is from her own actions. She spoke about case studies similar to Lindsay's case where the results were much different, but where did that leave those girls? Lindsay needs to pull herself together. She needs to get off the drugs and away from the paparazzi. Lilo is an artist, which means she feels things deeper then regular people. With the parents the way they are and the paparazzi the way it is, it's no wonder she couldn't cope. I truely hope this stint in jail and rehab is life changing. I hope she sees that being sober is the best way to live, and I hope she finds peace within herself. We will just have to see where she goes from here. She is currently in rehab but plans on leaving the facility early. It is being reported that she is being extremely helpful and supportive of the other residents of the facility. In my opinion, she is taking the spotlight off of herself to avoid dealing with her issues. I hope it isn't true, but this IS her fourth time in rehab, and second time in jail!

Dave Aude Mixes

VIP - Zayra (Dave Aude Club mix)

Dave Aude is remixing every hot song there is out there! His mixes are pretty good too! I am definately bopping to his beats right now. They are all available on YouTube, but this one is my favourite, even though it isn't a song we have heard on the radio. I love anything house, trance, techno, or just plain electronic. Nothing gets me moving better than a good beat!

Dance Disco Drama

Solange - Sandcastle Disco

I first fell in love with this track in it's original form, but I am absolutely in LOVE with this remix! This track is so Dance - Disco - Drama! Leave it to Solange Knowles, Beyoncé Knowles' younger sister, to bring together the perfect dose of the three. The intrensic music is the dance; that different, funky feel to the beat is the disco; and the lyrics represent the drama. Bring on the laser lights and glitter... let's go dancing!!

Music Theatre

Music theatre is broken down into three main sections: singing, dancing, and acting. These three sections create a performance, with the help of the director, choreographer, band, etc... The classes in SLC's Music Theatre Program include tap, jazz, ballet, modern dance, acting, history of musical theatre, music theory, voice and speech training, dance performance, performance, and even an anatomy class. On top of all this, we get one free vocal training lesson per week with the coach that best suits our voices and styles. I am so happy that I will be able to train in voice again. I loved seeing my vocal coach in grade 8. She helped shape what I have today. I owe her much thanks and appreciation for the things she has done for me! Thank you Sharon <3 Dancing is my way to unwind, and to feel the music in my bones. When I listen to music in my car, I am dreaming of the routines I would make to each song. I crave the knowledge to create my own expressions. I am absolutely extatic about training in dance! Plus, with all the dancing and working out, I will be in great shape in no time at all. I am slightly nervous for the acting, however, but that makes me even more determined to learn as much as I can to better myself. Overall, the entire program is going to be insanely busy and possibly stressfull, but this is how I am choosing to live the rest of my life. The business can be stressful and is definately busy, but with my creative satisfaction being extremely high all the time, I dont think I will notice at all. Nothing beats the feeling of performing on stage, however it may be.

Throughout this blog I will post regular updates on what exactly us crazy music theatre students are accomplishing in school. I will post show dates, pictures, videos, and pretty much everything else! This is my journey, but your welcome to come along for the ride... :)

The Transformation

200 Lbs

To the average person, 200 lbs is very heavy, but for me, 200 lbs is amazing! I am one of those lucky girls who has not only a huge frame, but is very muscular as well. I would guestimate that my lowest weight should be around 160 lbs, but for now, I am happy to finally hit that 200 mark! In total I have lost around 75 lbs since my highest weight in grade 11. Since starting Curves, I have lost around 46.6 lbs. My methods of weight loss were not only a good hour workout three time per week, but I completely changed my eating habbits. I went from eating fast food almost every day to eating home cooked meals, salads, and drinking water. The biggest change for me was when I quit drinking pop. I couldnt handle how it made my insides feel anymore. It was like drinking poison- liquid poison. It was horrible and I just knew it was time. I went through a slight withdrawal, but I auccessfully quit. It has probably been a good four months since I have had any pop, but once a popaholic, always a popaholic, just like alcohol. Only now I am in recovery. Pop is just that addictive and horrible you. It rots your insides and your teeth. Plus, there is absolutely no nutrition in it, so you are putting a ton of emtpy calories in your body that store as fatty cells. It makes me gag thinking about how horrible it is for the human body. Overall, I am extremely happy about my weightloss at this point, but even more excited for the future! There is definately more to come! <3

Total Transformation:

                                                                              Weight: 50.4 Lbs .. Inches: 28.25"

Paramore

Paramore - Let the Flames Begin

Paramore is an absolutely amazing band! The lyrics, the music, the feeling I get when I listen to their songs, it is intense and deep. It's everything that I love in music! Hayley Williams is an incredible singer/ songwriter. She moves my soul. Hayley sings about everything from depression & suicide to love & destiny. She is an incredible person and an incredible musician. She is definately someone I admire!

Paramore has release 4 studio albums, 'Brand New Eyes', 2009; 'All We Know Is Falling', 2005; 'Riot!', 2007; and 'The Final Riot!', 2008. My favourite Paramore tracks are Let the Flames Begin, We Are Broken, Born For This, Let This Go, Misguided Ghosts, and Emergency. Each one of these songs echo in my heart. "Would someone care to classify, our broken hearts and twisted minds, so I can find someone to rely on... and run to them!" This lyric is from Misguided Ghosts, off thier album 'Brand New Eyes'. This is just one example of their amazing lyrics. Paramore is one of my favourite bands, and I definately recommend all of their music to everyone! We are not alone in our struggles in life, Hayley gets it!  : )

Lady Gaga: The Artist

Stefani Germanotta Band - Words

Stefani Germanotta is who we all now know and love as Lady Gaga! Her music is absolutely second to none now, but back before she was famous, she made music from the heart. This is the stuff I enjoy the most, and right now, I am in love with this song! <3

Check out the other songs from her album "Red and Blue" on YouTube! There is also a really incredible 5 part interview with Gaga and NoiseVox! Check it out!

The Beginning...

The first real step I took to finally living my dreams was moving out of my father's home. It was scary, but incredibly freeing at the same time. I began to change my lifestyle. I was eating healthier foods and ridding myself of old habbits. After a month of living with my best friend, we decided to sign up at Curves for Women @ 51 Adam St, Belleville, ON. The owner and Circuit Coaches are incredible! They make me smile, keep me laughing, and keep me focussed on my fitness goals. After a few months of doing the regular fitness circuit, I began adding my own elements to my work out. I now do the Circuit, the hula hoop, arm circles, and over 300 crunches, 3 - 4 times per week. I am truely becoming a fitness junkie! With the pounds of weight and self doubt shedding off of my body, rapidly, I began to find myself, and find my long lost confidence. I had been pondering on how exactly I wanted to persue my dreams for quite some time. After a few discussions, and further investigation into the program, I decided to apply for the Music Theatre Programs at St. Clair College in Windsor, ON, St. Lawrence College in Brockville, ON, and Sheridan College in Oakville, ON. I soon after booked my auditions. First I would be auditioning for St. Clair College in Toronto, followed a few months later by St. lawrence College in Brockville. So I began rehearsing my songs, singing them repetatively, and went over my monologue a thousand times, until i thought I had them exactly to where I wanted them to be. Dance, however, would be the challenge.

The atmosphere at the St. Clair audition was tense. Girls in real dance gear, boys in tight pants, everyone excited and full of life. I was scared, but I went for it! I completely blew the dance portion. The judges were laughing at me struggling to keep up, encouraging me not to give up in their subtle ways, but I couldn't even follow the choreographer's feet, so I knew that it was an epic fail. The singing portion was up next after a short vocal warm up. It was promising, and the vocal coach did hear me singing over the other auditionees, but when it came down to my songs, I was winded, hungry, and exhausted. I blew them. I couldn't get any power in my lungs, and because I knew how badly I blew it, I raced through my monologue just to run away as fast as possible. That day I cried a little, but I knew inside that it was just a really good learning experience and I now knew what to expect at St. Lawrence. I got the word a few days later that I was not trained enough to be accepted into their prestigious college. I cried a little that day too. But every fall has a climb waiting ahead, and that is what I was looking forward to.

When I walked into the halls of St. Lawrence College, I felt comfortable, but nervous. A few 2nd year students came in and filled us in with all the details of the program, all of the highlights, and all of the advice they could offer. I began to feel much more comfortble and excited about this audition. The difference between this audition and the last was the order of operation. They were going to audition the singing and acting first, and then the group dance. I nailed my first song: Halo by Beyoncé Knowles. The judges loved it! I felt instantly releaved. They asked me to sing my second song and also perform my monogolue from the musical "Funny Girl". It's a great musical, find it in any movie store! This was different because the majority of auditionees did not even get to there second song let along their monologue! The dance portion was next. I really began to catch on after a few minutes of teaching! I was having the time of my life in that studio. The difference in auditions was the choeogrophy. St. Clair used extremely difficult movements, whereas St. Lawrence used beginner level. Between the two auditions I had began to chat with three other girls from the program. Before we left we all exchanged numbers and decided to become room mates if we had all been accepted. I drove home that day with such a deep feeling of peace and happiness. Dancing soothes my soul, and I was absolutely ready for more.

I found out about a week later that I had been accepted into St. Lawrence College. I screamed in my car, jumped around at work, and told all my friends and family the good news. I then began the next phase of my journey. I spent the next few months accepting my request, applying for osap, registering for the program, and finding an apartment. The first few deals looked amazing but fell through. In the end, I found two 2- bedroom apartments, located within 5 minutes from the College, for myself and my three room mates. In this time, I also changed many routines in my life. Most importantly, my job and my friends. I had to let go of one very special person to me, but I do wish her well in her future! At the same time, though, I gained two very special friends. The job transformation was very positive for me. I vow never to return to Tim Hortons!

Currently I am very busy packing and planning my move. Most importantly, however, I need the time to spend with my family and friends before I leave. It's funny how I never thought I would ever miss this place, but then a few months before I actually leave, I find more people who matter to me. It's going to be difficult to say goodbye, but I will be back every now and again... I promise! :)
