Exams & the Break

Exam week was pretty busy, but it went by very quickly. I performed a self- written monologue on Wednesday morning. It went pretty well actually. He said it was a bit long, but well performed. I used a story of someone close to me. Next time I will use only one part of the story but go into more detail with it. After that I took my theory exam. I am slightly dissappointed that I didnt look at one little thing while studying, because I know I messed it up on the exam, but other than that I think I did well.

On Thursday I auditioned for our show, "New Faces", with 'Listen' from "Dream Girls". I made my professor cry... again. It touched my heart. All I can hope for is a solo in our show. My fingers are definatey crossed! After my audition I performed the modern dance I choreographed. It was a lot of fun! She said she liked how the music was different, and how I put the movement to it. I used David Guetta & Afrojack's "Louder Than Words". It was nice to see what everyone else had come up with. Some of them were really touching! Great job everyone!

Thursday night was the Christmas party. It was great. I indulged in a few drinks and had a few good conversations. An old man stroked my hair. It was great! :D ... I got some candy canes, a magazine, and a $15 iTunes card. I don't have iTunes at home but have been wanting to download it for a while, so now is the perfect time! :D ... My gift receiver loved what I got her. She got an "Eclipse" poster, some chocolate, gum, a lip chap, and a cute key ring for breast cancer. Overall it was a total success. After the party I went over to Michael's with Chiove to study for our musi history exam. After a bit of that, I went home and crashed.

Friday was our music history exam. I studied all morning, and then I took an hour of not studying and really just bumming around the school... mostly because I had left my notes at home. So when the exam rolled around, I did great. He marked it in front of me, and I got an 82%, which is what I got on my mid-term, so I am pretty sure I know my mark. :)

After my exam I ran home, cleaned up the house, packed my car, and headed to Belleville. I got to Ali's around 7:30pm. We hung out for the night, had a few drinks, and then we went to bed. I spent the weekend there. I cleaned up around the house, did three loads of laundry, organized my stuff, and watched a few movies. Ali got me a few cute things for christmas. A dancing pig, a huge chocolate bar, and some other unmentionables. We had a great weekend. Yesterday I went to Curves, worked out, and had lunch with my friend Jen, who manages Curves Belleville. It was so nice to be back at Curves and working out there again. I miss their machines! So after lunch I went back to Ali's and chilled until she got home from work. We hung out for a little bit and then I left for Picton. I got to my Dad's at 11:30pm and went to bed.

This morning has been fun. I hung out with my Dad. We had a good chat. Then we ate breakfast. I am writing my blog and chatting with Ali. We are planning our night! :D ... I'm excited. A few drinks and just another fun night cleaning. I know, I know, but cleaning is productive and satisfying! lmao... But today my dad is going to fix my car and I have around 4 - 5 loads of laundry to do. Should be a good day. :)

P!NK - Raise Your Glass

I absolutely love this beat! I can connect with it so much! I love P!NK! She is just amazing. She can move people with her music and words. She makes some truly beautiful music! I just had to add the lyrics... they are just perfect! ♥

PINK - Raise Your Glass

Right right, turn off the lights
We gonna lose our minds tonight
What's the dealio?

I love when it's all too much
5AM turn the radio up
Where's the rock and roll?

Party crasher, penny snatcher
Call me up if you are gangster
Don't be fancy
Just get dancey
Why so serious?

So raise your glass if you are wrong
In all the right ways
All my underdogs, we will never be, never be
Anything but loud
And nitty gritty dirty little freaks
Won't you come on, and come on, and
Raise your glass
Just come on and come and
Raise Your Glass!

Slam slam oh hot damn
What part of party don't you understand?
Wish you'd just freak out (freak out already)
Can't stop coming in hot
I should be locked up right on the spot
It's so on right now (so fuckin' on right now)

Party crasher, penny snatcher
Call me up if you a gangster
Don't be fancy
Just get dancey
Why so serious?

So raise your glass if you are wrong
In all the right ways
All my underdogs, we will never be, never be
Anything but loud
And nitty gritty dirty little freaks
Won't you come on, and come on, and
Raise your glass
Just come on and come and
Raise Your Glass!
Won't you come on and come on and
Raise your glass!
Just come on and come and
Raise your glass!

Oh shit my glass is empty...
that sucks!
So if you're too school for cool (I mean...)
And you're treated like a fool (treated like a fool)
You could choose to let it go
We can always, we can always
party on our own...
So raise your (Aw fuck)
So raise your glass if you are wrong
In all the right ways
All my underdogs, we will never be, never be
Anything but loud
And nitty gritty dirty little freaks

So raise your glass if you are wrong
In all the right ways
All my underdogs, we will never be never be!
Anything but loud
And nitty gritty dirty little freaks
Won't you come on! and come on! and
Raise your glass
Just come on and come and
Raise your glass
Won't you come on! and come on! and
Raise your glass
For me
Just come on and come and
Raise your glass...for me

Birthday Girl....

Wow. It has been a very long time since I have blogged. Way too long! So much has happened since last time. Well I had to sing 'Maybe This Time' from Cabaret again. It didn't go as well as the last time. I felt horrible that day. I woke up nauseous and tired. I got through the day however, and went on to spend my birthday weekend in a celebratory way. Friday night, the 19th of November, I went to East Side Mario's with my two friends Dominique and Emma. We had a great time! Our waiter was great. He brought me a piece of chocolate cake and a gift certificate for a free lunch for my birthday. After dinner we went to Starbucks, and then I dropped them off at home. Later that night I went to Sara's birthday party. I consumed a few beverages and had a great night. Met some new people and had a really great chat with my friend Ricki. Later that night we took Sara home and then Ricki walked me home. It was freezing out and I was wearing ripped tights and heels. I was frozen to the core. I think that night is the cause for my current lung issue.
Saturday night was my birthday party. I had Emm, Danica, Amber, and of course Davin here. We had a great time. I consumed a few more beverages and we spent the night singing to old school tunes like the backstreet boys and spice girls, playing skip-bo, and chatting. I had cheese cake as my cake. It was great. On Sunday my Dad and Patsy came up. We went out for lunch and then shopping. I got some new clothes and other random house stuff with my birthday cash. We had a good time. After we got back, my dad put some shelves up and then they went home. Danica, Emm, Davin and I spent the rest of the night watching Paranormal State and playing skip-bo. It was a good night. I felt it the next morning though. Ballet was torturous. My body was very sore and exhausted. Monday was my actual birthday and I got around 50 birthday wishes on facebook! It was so great! Thank you everyone for that! It really made me smile. Tuesday was the worse for exhaustion. We had our crazy/ awesome Jazz teacher and she kicked my ass... again. I was absolutely dead after that class. I think I went to bed early that night. At some point I caught up on my sleep. Thursday morning I happened to wake up with a horrible cough. I spare the details, but it wasn't pretty. I ended up not being able to sing that morning. It may have worked out for the better though because now I can use that song as my exam and as my last song performance in class. Later that day I left for Belleville. I had an appointment, but I had some time before it so I went and surprised my friends Jen and Julie at Curves. They were extremely shocked and excited to see me! It was great! After my appointment I went to my good friend Ali's. It was a lot of fun. We spent our time just hanging out and looking at her scrapbooks that she had created. They are very well put together. She needs to have them in a gallery. She did one of Prince Edward County, which is my home as well, that she should put in a museum in the County. It is very well done. Later that night I went to my best friend's place. Jessica's little sister was there. We had a good time just hanging out and chatting. I spent the night there and woke up very early in the morning to drive back to Brockville and go to school. That day was very long and I was very exhausted. I really don't know how I managed to go out that night, but I did. It was Holly's birthday party that night. I had a great time. I consumed some more beverages and then at the end of the night I walked home with Ricki, Sara, and Michael. Ricki walked me back to my apartment, but first we made a stop at MacDonalds. I hate that it is right beside my place, I just have to say that. As we were leaving the restaurant, Ricki and I had our arms linked, and a guy yelled out, "She's a keeper, she's gorgeous!" Ricki was like, "hehe, he thinks we're together." I was like, "hehe, he thinks I'm gorgeous." It was really funny. After he left I ate and went to bed. I spent Saturday hanging out at my place. Davin had some of her family that lives very close to where I'm from come down. They were really nice. Later that day I went to the theater and saw "Burlesque". It was absolutely amazing! I recommend everyone see it! Cher has been my hero since I was 10, and I love singing Christina Aguilera! It was a perfect match. As soon as it comes out on DVD I am buying the special one with extra features, and I am going to buy the soundtrack as well. It was so great! Then that night I had a few friends over to watch "Eat Pray Love". We were all nodding off so we decided to call it a night. The next morning I watched "Eat Pray Love" and it was very good! I loved it. So touching. I watched it again later and played some skip-bo alone. I spent Sunday basically just relaxing. It was great. ♥
Monday, yesterday, was a good day. Ballet went really great. Jazz did as well. I also had a chance to talk to some friends about some stuff and we are now closer. It was a really great day. Today has gone very well as well, minus getting soaked walking home due to the torrential rain we are having. Although I really don't see the difference from any other day here. I swear it rains every other day. I have class now, so this wraps up another post. ♥

History of Jazz Dance

Cheryl,
This is my Jazz Assignment. Feel free to check out the rest of my blog as well. I was originally going to do my assignment on Bob Fosse, but ultimately decided to do it on the entire history of Jazz dance. I changed the names of my links and works cited, but if you click on them it should take you right to the site. Also, if you'd like, you can sign the comment box that is further down the page on the right. :)

History of Jazz Dance

Jazz dance has been around since the late 1800's. African slaves created and practiced jazz dance as an emotional outlet and a form of exercise. The plantation owners allowed this as it kept them fit enough to work in the fields. Most of the original Jazz moves were created in this time. It became more popular with the combination of European jigs and American culture. The first official Jazz dancer was Joe Frisco (seen on left). He performed his Jazz in Vaudeville acts across America from 1910 to the 1930's. "His popular jazz dance act (called by some the 'Jewish Charleston') was a choreographed series of shuffles, camel walks and turns," (Wikipedia). Jazz was performed mostly in Vaudeville acts, night clubs, and restaurants.

In the 1940's, Jazz dance began being taught in studios and got much more popular. It then went on to the Broadway stage soon after. From there it was formed into the more modern jazz style we all know and love today. Jack Cole (seen on right) had a major role in the modernization of theatrical jazz dance. " He developed a mode of jazz- ethnic- ballet  that prevails as the dominant dancing style in today's musicals, movies, nightclub reviews, television commercials, and music videos... [he] won a place in choreographic history for developing the basic vocabulary of jazz dancing- the kind of dancing done in nightclubs and Broadway musicals," (Wikipedia). Jack Cole's style inspired many of the very famous jazz choreographers, including Bob Fosse. Fosse began performing in the late 1940's. The famous musical Kiss Me Kate was one of his first screen appearances in 1953.

It was this scene that Bob Fosse (seen on left) choreographed in Kiss Me Kate that began his choreography career. He choreographed his first full show in 1954 and began directing as well in 1960. "Fosse developed a jazz dance style that was immediately recognizable, exuding a stylized, cynical sexuality. Other notable distinctions of his style included the use of turned-in knees, sideways shuffling, and rolled shoulders," (Wikipedia). There are many memorable Fosse- oriented musicals, but the most memorable are Chicago, PippinCabaret and All That Jazz, which is semi- auto biographical. Unfortunately, in 1987, Bob Fosse died of a heart attack. He has since been honoured for his contribution to theatre and dance by way of many Tony Awards, Academy Awards, and Emmy Awards. There is also a Broadway show called Fosse and a documentary on his dance contributions. Jazz dance is the currently the most common form of dance offered in any studio and the most used form of dance in any musical production. Many teachers believe that having a strong classical ballet background is an asset to jazz dance as it allows for the strength needed to perform.

Two Weeks of Chic

So much has happened in the past two weeks. Last week in school, I had two really good ballet classes, and two really great Jazz classes. I had a Choral exam which I did very well on. I performed my Shakespearean Sonnet, kept a three day food journal, and took a Music History exam. I did really well on both my performance and my exam. I also had my bursary dinner. It was a great night. I brought Kearyn Vos with me. We sat with some people from our program and our dance teacher. It was all around a great night. That weekend I spent at home, alone. I rearranged the living room, cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, and my room. I didn't have computer because it was in for repairs. Turns out my motherboard was friend and I had to get a new one. I didn't get it back until Tuesday. I wanted to make love it! I also read two plays that week. On Thursday in Modern we had the opportunity to choreograph a short number with a group of three. One of my classmates recorded it, and although he didn't put it on YouTube, he did put it on Facebook. See it here! ♥
Monday and Tuesday brought two more great ballet and jazz classes. We had a new jazz teacher. She is just substituting as of now, but she was great! I got so much music from her laptop. I can't wait until I can actually download it all. I still don't have everything back on my computer. I got my ballet mark as well. I am doing well. I also got my Modern mark. I am doing very well in it as well. I read another play on Monday as well. I wrote my essay for Wednesday's Acting class on Monday, and my essay for Friday's Anatomy class on Wednesday. On Thursday I performed "Maybe This Time" from the musical Cabaret. I did very well, but I have to sing it again next week because he ran out of time to work with me. He seemed very excited though! Friday was a good day of classes, however, I had to sit out of half of my dance production class because I felt very nauseous. We finished our second production number this week. It is a lot of fun. It was overall a great week!
Both this week and last week I have been doing a new workout routine. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I go to the gym and do an hour of cardio, and then I do between 200 and 300 crunches. I weighed myself last week and I have lost 15 pounds since mid- September. I am very excited to see that! I don't think I will ever be over 200 lbs ever again! In exactly 8 days I will be 22. It is my champagne birthday this year! I am excited but scared at the same time. I'll be 22... I feel so old, even though I'm not. Saturday night we are celebrating by dinner and a movie. It should be a good night. I'll probably be drunk Friday night! Hehehe... I have to drink that champagne!
This week was definitely interesting to say the least. Friday night I went to Emma's house. We just chilled for a bit while waiting for Cydney to get home. We were going to go to open mic at Bud's, and then to the Dirty Bird "club". Last minute I decided to drink. I was definitely starting to feel the alcohol by the time Cydney was ready to go. By the time we got there, I was pretty drunk. I sang with "Teenage Dream" on the radio, and the bar went nuts! It was great. Then I sang Heart's "Alone", and a few other songs. It was a great time! We then left Bud's and went to the Dirty Bird. I was really buzzing, and we danced all night. Emma left early, but me and Cyd closed the place. It was a great night! First we went back to Cyd n Emma's, and then I went home. The next day I woke up at 2 pm. Davin came home and Danica came over around 2:30. We went over our scene together and then Amber came over. We had a good time. We watched "Gone in 60 Seconds" and I cooked a great dinner. Then Amber and I went to the movies. We saw "Red". It was really good! The movie theater here is very small, even for me. I came home and went to bed. I feel much better today. I am now just writing and listening to music.
This week I have to read two more plays, do my Jazz History assignment, and perfect another song to perform next week. It should be a good week. ♥

The Song I am loving at the moment is:

My Time, My Place

--------------------------------------------------
Every day that passes, I remember my passions,
I discover myself more and more,
I realize I'm okay and at the end of the day,
I recall why I opened this door.
I'm here for myself, my own personal wealth,
I am an artist just striving to grow,
I'm loving my life, despite the past strife,
I finally feel ready for my show.
Every day is a dance, music is my romance,
This actress is taking her stage,
There is no more fear, no time for more tears,
And I'm forgetting about minimum wage.
It's my time to soar, let go like never before,
My future is what I will embrace,
I'm promising to, love everything I do,
It's my song, my dance, my time, my place.

Evanescence -

Good Enough

Under your spell again.
I can't say no to you.
Crave my heart and it's bleeding in your hand.
I can't say no to you.

Shouldn't let you torture me so sweetly.
Now I can't let go of this dream.
I can't breathe but I feel...

Good enough,
I feel good enough for you.

Drink up sweet decadence.
I can't say no to you,
And I've completely lost myself, and I don't mind.
I can't say no to you.

Shouldn't let you conquer me completely.
Now I can't let go of this dream.
Can't believe that I feel...

Good enough,
I feel good enough.
It's been such a long time coming, but I feel good.

And I'm still waiting for the rain to fall.
Pour real life down on me.
'Cause I can't hold on to anything this good enough.
Am I good enough for you to love me too?

So take care what you ask of me,
'cause I can't say no.

Intensives & Halloween

So much has happened in 9 days. Last week we had "Intensives". Monday was Tap and Acting Through Song. Tap went amazing! We learned about the great tap artists from the past and we also learned a new routine. Tap is definitely one of my favourites! Acting Through Song also went great. I had the opportunity to sing 'Listen' from Dream Girls and it went really well. He taught me a lot about how to find my character in each song you sing. Tuesday we had Masters with two amazing Opera singers. I did not sing that day but they taught us a lot about how to find your character as well. Wednesday was really fun. We had a morning of Stage Combat and an afternoon of Commercial Work. In Stage Combat we learned simple punches and kicks. We had to make a story for each too. It was fun. Commercial Work was even more fun because we got to sing the 'Daisy' Sour Cream jingle, as well as a cell phone commercial jingle. We really got some good experience for recording a jingle. Thursday we had the morning off and then we had an Agent workshop in the afternoon. This workshop was a really great learning. I took 3 full pages of notes. It was very informative. Friday was our final day of intensives, and we wrapped it up with an Equity workshop and then a Hip Hop workshop. In Equity, it was really cool to hear every one's opinions and learning about the Actor's Union. Hip Hop was really fun. Although it wasn't true hip hop, it was a nice change of pace in style. It was more contemporary and lyrical with a little funk to it. I had a great time during intensives, but I am really glad to get back to regular classes.

Throughout the entire week, I spent every single evening trying to reprogram my computer properly. It is the most frustrating process because if one thing messes up, you have to start all over again. So this is what I did... 6 different times! Keep in mind that each time it took me around 6 hours to get it to where I thought it should be. On Thursday I finally got it together properly. I really hope so anyway. I haven't turned my computer on since, and I am kind of scared to! I'm sure it'll be fine though.

This weekend I decided to go home to visit my best friend and then my father. I needed some "me time". I needed time away from Brockville. I needed my best friend. So Friday night I left for Belleville around 2 PM. I got to Jess' place around 3:30 PM. We spent a good 3 hours hanging out and talking. It was great to catch up! Then we left for Kingston to pick up her sisters. We spent 3 hours running around Kingston. I was slightly annoyed but when we got back to her place, we hung out and had a great time. I slept over that night and went to my dad's on Saturday. We went out to my Grandma's and picked up the stuff my mother had sent down with them. I got a dresser and a bunch of kitchen stuff and sheets. I'm excited to see exactly what I got. I watched a movie with my Aunt that night and then hung out with my good friend Ali. Unfortunately, her father passed away last week. It was very sad, but true to herself, she still had a smile on her face. She is a very strong young woman! **R.I.P. ARTHUR RUTTER** We hung out for a bit and then I went back to my dad's and stayed up until 3 AM figuring out what I had to do on Sunday. Sunday morning was nice. Kenzie, our Chiwawa, curled up beside me and cuddled with me as I was laying in bed that morning. This was the first time he has ever done this, so it was very nice for me. I miss my little man ♥! I left my dad's early that afternoon and stopped at Jess' before I left for Brockville. I didn't stay long. When I got home I unpacked my car and chilled with Davin while watching a Paranormal State marathon. After that we went to our friend's place and hung out for a while. I left around 11:30 PM and hit the hay as soon as I got home. It was a great weekend.

My program had a great time with Halloween this weekend. Everyone dressed up in their crazy costumes and went to the Halloween Pub on Thursday, the house party on Friday, and then they went to Ottawa to see the interactive version of Rocky Horror Picture Show. I'm slightly disappointed that I missed out, but I am satisfied with my weekend. ♥

LMFAO - Shooting Star

Thank you Meadow, my lovely little sister, for sending me this song! I LOVE IT! Support LMFAO. They are amazing. I love this remix. It's fabulous. Not much more to say about it!

Astonishing..

After a nice weekend of relaxation and alone time, this week started off good. I had a great Monday morning full of dance, and afternoon full of song. Tuesday I paid for it, however. It was absolutely brutal. Every muscle in my body, particularly my legs, was in agony. I couldn't even touch my toes! But I stretched it out and feel fine now. On Wednesday we gave our first performance of our Shakespearean sonnets. Mine went alright, but he said I wasn't being vulnerable enough. He said I was acting "gangster" about it. That made me chuckle. But after taking his criticism into consideration, I figured out exactly how I will do it for our final performance on November 3. Thursday was a monster day for us first years. First we had our masters mock audition, which I did very well in. Next we had our scene study scene performance, which I also did very well in. Thirdly we had our modern dance mid- term exam, which, like the others, I did well in. And last but not least we had our music theory quiz, which I did sufficient on. All in all, it was a great day of mid- terms, but not for me personally. I'm finding it difficult to adjust to the new scene. Some people have their clicks and some people are loners. I guess this is true anywhere you go, but I definitely feel alone here. All I want to do is focus on my studies and on myself as an artist, and this will hopefully help me through the difficult times. Thursday night was the third years' dress rehearsal for their show "The First Five Years". It was a review of the first five years worth of productions put on at St. Lawrence College. It was very well done. I cannot wait until our "New Faces" show! On Friday we had another anatomy quiz, which I am sure I aced, and then we had dance production. We spent two hours cleaning up our very first production number, and working on the tap section, which I am involved in. Camille wasn't feeling well, so while she was watching, she took these photos of us dancing. I only found three with me in it, however. Apparently, this is the first time they have put a tap number in the New Faces show, so we will be remembered for this! I love tap! ♥

**Beginning Section - I'm in the purple shirt**

**Middle of Tap Section**

Friday night was a good night, until the very end. I went to yet another MUTH house party. It was great. I got to sing with Kayla, Toni, and Cleandra, which was amazing! There is some serious talent in this program! I chatted with a bunch of people. Sam and I have decided we are going to celebrate our birthdays together, hopefully, and possibly Sara as well, considering our birthdays are November 21, 22, and 23. Two of us will be celebrating our champagne birthdays, which is super exciting! We talked about stretching and dance. It was great. Thank you to the people who funds my cause - "poor student needs booze"! Hehehe. The night was going great until someone I live close to got really sick. I realized how much I am past the stages of getting really drunk and being sick all the next day. Except for her, she was sick all that night. It scared me, a lot! And it scared some of my friends too! I hope it scared her so bad that she never does that again... jus' sayin'. After the night had come to a close, I went home and crashed out. I was pretty exhausted. This morning I went back to my friends place, ate some pancakes, hung out for a bit, and then drove home. Before I left though, I had a chance to chat with my friend Emma. We have a lot more in common than I had realized. I'm really glad we had that opportunity to chat. ♥

**Black & White Theme**

Tonight is the big sleepover at Danica and Emma's apartment. We will be watching movies and having girl time. I wont be sleeping over though because my Dad and Patsy are coming down tomorrow! I'm really excited to see them! It has only been a few weeks, but I am excited for them to see my place and for my Dad to change my car door lock, put my pictures up, help me put plastic on the windows, and bring me a light bulb for my lamp! I don't even know if he realizes just how much he has to do tomorrow! LOL! ♥

Kanye West - Runaway

Kanye messed up at last year's VMA's, as we all know, and apparently he knows as well. I love this song! Everyone deserves forgiveness. Just look at everything he had been through at that point. To deal with it all, he was drinking. He was drunk when he took the mic from Taylor Swift that night. I think we all just need to let it go. I think his ego finally got what it deserved.

Beyoncé - Listen

Beyonce - Listen

Listen to the song here in my heart
A melody I start but can't complete
Listen to the sound from deep within
It's only beginning to find release

Oh, the time has come for my dreams to be heard
They will not be pushed aside and turned
Into your own all 'cause you won't
Listen

I am alone at a crossroads
I'm not at home in my own home
And I've tried and tried to say what's on mind
You should have known

Oh, now I'm done believing you
You don't know what I'm feeling
I'm more than what you made of me
I followed the voice you gave to me
But now I've gotta find my own

You should have listened, there is someone here inside
Someone I thought had died so long ago
Oh, I'm screaming out and my dreams'll be heard
They will not be pushed aside on words
Into your own all 'cause you won't
Listen

I am alone at a crossroads
I'm not at home in my own home
And I've tried and tried to say what's on mind
You should have known

Oh, now I'm done believing you
You don't know what I'm feeling
I'm more than what you made of me
I followed the voice you gave to me
But now I've gotta find my own

I don't know where I belong
But I'll be moving on
If you don't, if you won't

Listen to the song here in my heart
A melody I start but I will complete

Oh, now I'm done believing you
You don't know what I'm feeling
I'm more than what you made of me
I followed the voice you think you gave to me
But now I've gotta find my own, my own

Turkey Day Fun..

This Turkey Day weekend was great. The drive back to Belleville was good, except I blew a break pad so I grinded every time I hit the breaks. It was annoying, but none the less, I drove Brittany to her Grandparents' home, then drove to Belleville and met up with my friend Hollie. I actually thought I was going to die in the car with her. Much love Hollie, but DAYAM! AHAHAHAHA... good times though! After that I went to Curves and met up with my friend Julie. We hung out at her place for a bit, and that is where I discovered just how much my legs have toned. I thank my ballet teacher for this. Wow, they are almost fully toned. It's crazy! After my time with Julie, I went to my best friend Jessica's place. We spent the night catching up, laughing, and chillin'. I am so happy we are friends again! I spent the night at her place and woke up early in the morning because she had to work at 10am. Her boyfriend drove us to Tim Hortons and then dropped me off at my car, but before I could leave Belleville, I had to stop in to visit with my good friend Ali. I woke her up and chilled with her for about 30 minutes. I wanted to stay for longer but really had to get into town (Picton) to visit my vocal coach.

When I got into Picton I went straight to Sharon's house. I told her about how school is going, and she helped me with the song I would be singing this week. She then found me two new songs that she thought would suit me well. She photocopied them for me and everything! Thank you Sharon! ♥ . After my visit with Sharon, I went to my father's house. He put my car up on the hoist right away. We stuck with our tradition and got pizza slices for lunch. Once Meadow arrived, we went and picked up Aarron at his friend's place, and then came back to my dad's. Dad and I then went to Canadian Tire to pick up parts for my car and then out to my Uncle's house for a bit to pick up his car and visit. It was really nice to see my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin Brittany. They all said that I have lost a lot of weight since moving. This really is news to me because I never noticed until I came home. After our visit at their house, I picked up Meadow and Aarron and we headed to our Grandmother's house. Mom arrived soon after we got there. It was really nice to see her again. We spent the afternoon chatting and eating. It was a dang good meal: my first of the weekend! After dinner, Meadow, Aarron, and I decided to go to Belleville to meet up with Jess and go bowling. When we got there, we called to check the prices, and neither of us had enough money to go. So we spent the night chilling and catching up some more. It was a great night. We left sometime in the early morning and spent the night at my dad's house. Once again, I only got about 5 hours of sleep. I was exhausted.

Sunday morning I had to get up and help Dad take the parts back to get the right sized ones. After that I spent the morning reading the package our Program Co-Ordinater had given us on Friday, and practicing my song for Thursday. After a few hours, Meadow and Aarron woke up and we went out to our Grandmother's house again. We spent the afternoon playing our classic card game "Shang- Hi". I left there at 4:30pm and headed for my Aunt's house. Her dinner was amazing, and I ate way too much of it! Mmmmm... squash. After dinner we just chatted about different things and spent time together. I left around 8pm and went back out to my Grandma's house. I only stayed for a little bit because I was falling asleep on my chair. So I left and went back to my father's house to sleep, but first I said my goodbyes to Mom and Aarron. Aarron will be heading out to B.C. soon, so it was important to Meadow and I to see him this weekend. I wish him luck on his trip out. I know he will do something great with his time out there! ♥

Meadow got dropped off at my Dad's early Monday morning, but we slept for another 3 hours after that. When we woke up, we waited for a little bit and then I said goodbye to my Father and drove out to Meadow's new foster home. It was great to meet her foster parents and family. I ate dinner with them and spent some time with them. They said I am welcome to their home anytime. Her foster parents are actually Ali's Aunt and Uncle... small world. I said goodbye to Meadow around 5pm and headed for Belleville again. I hung out with Julie for about an hour and then when my friend Jen got there, we left for her house. We hung out for like 3 hours. It was good times. I left her place around 9pm and came back to Brockville. I went to bed as soon as I got home. I was exhausted from the longest weekend of my life.

This week at school has been great. Jazz was fabulous on Tuesday. I am loving our "Jai Ho", Bollywood dance. Acting was great because I finally understood what he was looking for with our sonnets, and I am really getting into his poetry, being a poet myself. Voice and speech was great too because I can finally breathe into my psoaz muscles. I really accredit my roommate Davin for this. She said, "honestly, just open your vajaj, that's what I always do." This really helped me grasp the conecpt, so thank you Davin! ♥ . Thursday's Master class, of course, did not go as I had planned. However, my teacher tought me to use my chest voice, which I had literally never used before, and it came out way louder and more powerful than it had the first time. So I have discovered my chest voice, and plan on using it for musical theatre. Thursday's Modern class was horrible at first. I was getting frustrated with not being able to do the turns and spins properly. I am getting better at them, but they are the hardest part of dance for me. After the turns, I started getting better at the other moves we were doing across the floor, and then I rocked the choreography. It was great. Mid- terms are coming up. I am not really nervous for the majority of them, but I am for History and Anatomy. I guess I just have to study and see what happens. ♥

Orientation Day

Orientation Day was amazing! I found my pictures from that day, and I am pretty sure they are somewhat self explanatory! Sumo wrestling, a laundry soap slip n' slide, a condom pool, and a bra & undies potato sack race! To end it off, a huge tug of war between each program. We ALMOST had the fire fighters! Dangitt... ♥

Party & Lazy Weekend

I was just recently searching through my phone only to find photos I had completely forgotten about. There are some from our orientation day and some from Friday night. We had a great time this weekend. Friday night we went to Choivé's apartment to pre drink and chill before the party. I was the DD, so I just hung out. We had a good time, and then left for the party around 11:30pm. When we got there, there were lots of people there, and the majority of them were "shmamalamajammahed" (ahaha Kayla!). We danced for a bit, and chatted. Brittany, you're my hero, just sayin'! Kayla requested that I sing Listen from Dream Girls for her and the others standing in the group. She wanted me to sing it exactly as I had in Masters class that week. So I sang it for her, and they loved it. ♥

After a few hours, Choivé asked me to take them to the bar. So we went to what is known as "The Dirty Bird" for some dancing and more drinks. We had a great time. Some random creepy guy came up to me and asked me to just wrap my arms around him. It was awkward. Then as we were standing outside to leave, another random, slightly less creepy guy, told me my pants were sexy, "three more slits and I'd be in love." It was great. After the bar I drove Choivé and Danica back to Choivé's apartment, and then went home. It was a great night. ♥

'Lazy' was the word of the rest of the weekend! I watched the musical movie "Nine", it was good, but it took a lot to continue watching until the end. Fergie's role was well done, however. Sunday night was a night of fun at Mary and Bo's. There were 12 MUTH students there. We watched "Monty Python & The Holy Grail" and ate pizza. It was fun. I left at 9:30pm and was asleep at 11:30pm. The one's who actually slept over didn't get to sleep until 5am. They are crazy! We had ballet and Jazz the next day. I, personally, could never do that! It was a great weekend, all in all. ♥
